Hawaii New Year
These are a few photographs from our trip to Kona. The sunset is the view from our home we stayed at. The shot of Owen and Drew is taken inside a Kilauea lava tube. And the shot of Owen and I was taken at one of the most sacred black sand beaches. You were not suppose to get closer than fifteen feet to the sea turtles. It was an amazing place.

Chef Owen
Owen worked very hard on his first cooking project. We made ghosts out of pie crust and stuffed them with chocolate and butterscotch chips. He was a whiz with the cookie cutter and scooping chips.

Albany Art and Air Show
Owen and I got up at 6am to see the hot air balloons take off from the Albany Art and Air Show. It was a cool morning but the balloons did not disappoint. We were able to stand in the middle of about 20 or so balloons while they filled and took off.
